I'm here to help you find your way forward
About me
Every path on my journey and every skill and attribute that I’ve honed naturally through my life has led me to therapy, not just as a profession but as a calling. I’ve always found I have the compassion and understanding to listen to people's stories in a curious and keen manner and to provide a thoughtful perspective that’s deep but light-hearted. It’s a true delight in my life to help my clients find peace and direction to better themselves.
Couples Therapy
Finding pathways to rekindling and reconnecting
Your relationship is important to you, but there are issues that are causing doubts about how much longer you can continue feeling this way. You can't seem to solve these issues on your own, with the help of friends or maybe you’ve even had counselling before with no success. Coming from a clinical psychotherapeutic approach, we work on understanding both our partner and ourselves, our triggers, and our history and how these connect with the current situation. In this process, you’ll learn to work as a team, find practical resolutions, and become deeply connected while accommodating both personalities' needs and wants; moving forward in a truly authentic way.
Eating Disorders
Healthy body, healthy mind
Eating disorders are often totally consuming, not only for those suffering but for supporting loved ones too. Too often, therapy focuses on weight, but the core issue is not resolved, and the eating disorder keeps coming back or presents itself in other destructive ways. Using a novel and fresh approach developed through years of clinical experience, I help my clients create strategies focused on healing. I’ve seen that long term success lies in focusing on our emotional world and creating new definitions of who we are separate from the eating disorder. This approach utilises exploration of our values and dreams, and understanding the role of the eating disorder in soothing our pain, finding new ways to move forward armed with new tools and strategies.
Relationship Counselling
Healing family relationships
Family can be described as a tree, and for a tree to thrive, it needs roots. Those roots are the relationships we have with family members, giving us a strong grounding and a sense of belonging, which is important for mental health and security in the world. Maintaining harmony in these relationships and resolving conflict is a positive choice to make, because we don’t choose our family, but we can choose to have peace in our home and our lives together.
Individual therapy
Individual therapyReconciling with your life story and moving forward
Of all our relationships in life, the one we have with ourselves, our thoughts and our feelings is at the core of our experience of life. Individual therapy can help support this relationship by exploring more effective ways of managing the difficulties you may be experiencing. Feeling down, anxious, stuck, confused, or dissatisfied can be disheartening, but learning the skills to better cope and adapt can mitigate these emotions. I offer a safe environment where your strengths are explored, valued, and nurtured, allowing you to address your concerns and learn new skills to create a brighter future for yourself.
